The Magic of Pysanka in Crailsheim: The Birth of a New Tradition
On April 4th, the Ukrainian Culture and Support Center "Strength of Unity" held its first workshop on traditional Ukrainian Pysanka painting. This event was a landmark for our community in Crailsheim, bringing together both adults and children around this ancient art form.
Creative Atmosphere and Shared Experience
Twelve participants joined our creative family. Although this was our organization’s debut experience in hosting such workshops, the meeting took place in an incredibly warm and sincere atmosphere.
As organizers, we sincerely thank all participants for their patience and help. Preparing the hall together and tackling the first technical nuances only highlighted our unity and made the learning process feel truly like home. We will certainly take this experience into account to make future meetings even more comfortable and well-organized.

The success of the event was made possible thanks to the support of our friends — Deutsch-Ukrainische Gesellschaft Heilbronn e.V. (DUG HN). We express our sincere gratitude to our partners for their help in purchasing the necessary professional tools and materials, which allowed participants to fully experience the true art of Pysanka.
In addition to the creative achievements, we were able to fulfill a charitable goal:
Amount raised: 45 Euros.
Purpose: All funds will be directed towards supporting the center's charitable projects.

Future Plans
We believe that this workshop marks the beginning of a wonderful annual tradition in our city. Next spring, we will meet again to create talismans together and preserve Ukrainian culture.

Support people in Ukraine:
According to the United Nations, this year over 14.6 million people, or 40% of Ukraine’s population, will need humanitarian assistance. The organization stated that every day, civilians in Ukraine are killed and injured, and their homes and critical infrastructure are being destroyed.
In light of the ongoing large-scale military aggression by Russia against Ukraine, we are launching a fundraiser for monetary and material donations to support displaced persons, victims of war, and disaster relief in Ukraine. We will issue a donation certificate. Thank you for your support. (To reduce paperwork, donation certificates are issued for amounts starting from 300 euros. For donations of smaller amounts, a bank statement serves as confirmation.)
